"This morning's conference was great!  It was a wide range of participants on the panels and that was a great way to hear a wide view of options and ideas from the panelists!  Kevin Hancock gets my vote for most open, honest and helpful answers to questions. He was outstanding and his thoughts today were very heartfelt and honest.  Take away the layers of "facade" and discuss the truth of what it's like and how you face the issuers."

"Finding your Voice in a Family-Owned Business..."
We're inviting the men too!

Join the Women in Family-Business for a fun educational afternoon on “Finding Your Voice!”  Speaking of which, we’ve heard from our male counterparts who have wanted to be included in our “Women in Family-Business” events so new for 2017, we’re inviting the men.

We orginally were scheduled to kick off our series with this program called “Finding Your Voice” in February however a Nor'easter caused us to move it to the fall.

So we'll try it again here...

We’ll learn from IFOB Associate Partners, Dana Morris-Jones, PhD and John Shorb about presenting at meetings, leading a team, coaching direct reports, and speaking out about community and other issues, whether with a small or large group.

Dana Morris-Jones, Principal and co-founder of The Delphi Group, Inc., assists organizations, groups and individuals to achieve their goals by clarifying direction, aligning strategy with processes, mobilizing talent and inspiring commitment.  Dana’s clients have included public utilities, for-profit corporations and small closely held firms, state and federal government agencies and non-profits.

With her partner John Shorb, they provide an array of services, including strategic planning, change leadership, team development and executive coaching, always with the objective of improving organizational results.  Also trained as a mediator, Dana incorporates best practices for resolving organizational differences in her work. Her expertise in this field has led to the development of a proprietary model which is the basis for her book, The Power of Difference published in 2016. Dana earned a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

John Shorb is a Principal and co-founder of The DELPHI Group, Inc.  His extensive experience with both private and public sector organizations incorporates collaborative processes to diagnose needs, build skills, and facilitate results-oriented strategic change.  John’s clients range from small family-owned businesses to mid-sized manufacturing operations, fortune 50 corporations, government agencies and academic institutions focusing on coaching managers, aligning systems & practices with mission/vision, building teams.  John is a faculty member of The NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and has presented at numerous regional and national conferences.

Dana and John will tailor our workshop to what each of you want to learn about finding your voice!
