Rising Tide Brewing Company

We kick off the 2018 Family Business Spotlight series with Heather and Nathan Sanborn, Kailey Partin and their team from Rising Tide Brewing Company.

Rising Tide Brewing Company is a small family-owned business that opened in 2010 by Nathan and Heather Sanborn. Prior to starting the brewery Nathan was a freelance graphic designer and stay at home dad and Heather was an attorney. In 2009, Nathan decided he wanted to turn his passion for brewing beer into a business. They opened Rising Tide Brewing Company's first location on Industrial Way.

In 2012, Rising Tide expanded and relocated to its current location on Fox Street. That same year, Heather came on full time as the Director of Business Operations for the brewery and worked with the Maine Brewer's Guild to legalize brewery tasting rooms. Now, Rising Tide Brewing Company is proud to employ over 20 people, has just completed another expansion, and Heather is now a State Representative. In 2016 Rising Tide won the Maddy Corson Small Business Award for the Maine Family Business Awards. We're excited to join them in their new space and to taste their wonderful beer!
