"This morning's conference was great!  It was a wide range of participants on the panels and that was a great way to hear a wide view of options and ideas from the panelists!  Kevin Hancock gets my vote for most open, honest and helpful answers to questions. He was outstanding and his thoughts today were very heartfelt and honest.  Take away the layers of "facade" and discuss the truth of what it's like and how you face the issuers."

Legal Lunches with PretiFlaherty

This sessions topic: "Workin’ For the Weekend: Team Safety Including Wage & Hour, OSHA, and Worker’s Comp in a Post-COVID World presenters: John Cronan, Associate and Laura Rideout, Partner, PretiFlaherty and Mike Davis, President / Owner, IRC Industrial Roofing Companies".

The Legal Lunch series is a one-hour discussion with a legal representative from PretiFlaherty, and member of a family-owned business. Each session highlights a different and relevant topic where participants learn both the legal side of the topic and the practical implementation in a family-owned business. Participants will be able to hear best practices on each topic and get a deep dive into the discussion!

During this session, hear about some of the traps and pitfalls to wage and hour during the pandemic, along with the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) set to be issued soon. Are you having trouble navigating the vaccine mandate (for companies with 100 employees or more)? What incentives or disincentives are working for your company? What does “return to work” look like and how do you manage wage & hour, OSHA requirements and workers comp for the remote employees? How do you adapt to the pandemic requirements while continuing to plan ahead? Are you using OSHA’s “Best Practices” if not, are you aware of what liability an employer has if someone is hurt on the job or at home?

We know our world has significantly changed since the pandemic, and while we’re still working through it, we know businesses are looking ahead to see how to manage wage & hour, OSHA and workers comp in our “new world”. Bring your questions, we’ll have a 15-minute Q&A following our informational 45-minute presentation!
